CAININE or KANE or in very short K9 is a star-born computer angel turned artist.
Coming from a long line of online fandom culture mixed with a catholic upbringing its artwork joins together the two, with a touch of vintage pop culture, to bring to life allegories about queer existence, stories of angels and analog horrors of an older digital age.
After a long chronically online career posting art under many different names and a long art school journey, it decided to go into anonymity as its work leaps into the real world to support its local underground queer scene.
The anonymity though has not stopped Kane to be the protagonist of many of its graphic design and photography works. Disguised in drag or under heavy makeup and wings, it continues to live its life as what it calls "The longest act of performance art ever created.", running for 20 years as of the year 2024.
